Monthly TBR: March

Posted March 3, 2020 by Amber in Monthly TBR / 1009 Comments

Hi everyone! I love putting together my monthly TBR, I find it inspiring to see how many books I can get through while at work. I’ve been doing super well at audiobooks and not too great at physical/kindle books but it doesn’t stop me from trying.

This month is going to be very non-fiction heavy as all my holds came in and I’ve been saving them for this month. And I just really like them a lot.

Monthly TBR is a new feature where I discuss what books I plan to read every month.

~Non-Fiction~

It will be a pretty heavy month with these seven ten books but I’m excited. I so wish I had been able to read White Fragility and How To Be An Antiracist sooner because a local book club discussed them, but holds at the library took a while. For good reasons, I’m sure! I loved Hunger by Roxane Gay, Shrill by Lindy West and Sex Object by Jessica Valenti so I’m more than ready to read other books by them. I’ve been waiting to finish watching Unbelievable before finally reading the book but it should happen soon.

~Young Adult~

I am in a big 2020 releases mood so I’m trying to listen to all of the ones I can this month before diving back into past eARCs next month.

* Scythe – I actually finished Scythe today before doing Bookish Games on Wednesday. It was fantastic and I cannot wait to read the rest of the series.

*Break The Fall – I want to dual read this with an eARC I’ll have listed below. They both deal with toxic coaches so I want to see how they both do. I have high hopes!

*A Girl Like That – I want to dual read this with my past eARC, I Stop Somewhere as they both have relevant themes to each other.

* Loveboat, Taipei was a library hold that came in.

* Yes No Maybe So – I really, really hope I get to it this month. I was going to try to buy it on Audible as my library didn’t have it then I won a copy. So…Will I end up reading it?? Yes, No, Maybe So. We’ll see!

~March eARCs~

I know, I was supposed to read When You Were Everything last month. At least I got to more than just 10 percent.

I love Girls With Sharp Sticks so I need to read Girl With Razor Hearts after a couple other books.

We Are The Wildcats is the book I’ll be pairing with Break The Fall!

Tigers Not Daughters – This is a blog tour read and I’ll have a review up for it on March 20th. You can see my Wondrous Covers Wednesday post where I featured this (among other) covers.

~Backlist (e)ARCs~

I didn’t get to Everything Must Go or What Kind of Girl last month so per tradition, apparently, they’re now on March’s TBR.

~Monthly Classic~

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott

Here’s my monthly classic I’ll be reading. Please don’t disappoint me, Little Women.

~Monthly Middle Grade~

Amal Unbound by Aisha Saeed

Here’s my middle grade pick. I figured since I’m already going to be reading Yes No Maybe So, I might as well read Aisha’s middle grade title as well.

~Monthly Progress~

And because I discovered I like sharing my progress throughout the month, here is a little spot to find out how I’m doing:

Non-Fiction – 3/10

Young Adult – 4/8

Backlist (e)ARCs – 1/5

March eARCs – 1/4

Middle Grade – 1/1

Classic – 0/1

Overall Total – 10/29
