Hi everyone. I feel like I have said this a lot in the past few years, but it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. This is for a couple reasons: 1. We didn’t have electricity for a long time, which I’ll explain. 2. We haven’t had internet since May. It’s been a very rough year so far. My grandmother died in January. My family and I have lived together with her since we first moved to this city. It’s been very hard since besides her also being gone, we have been quite short on money as she paid part of the bills. I went on an unexpected hiatus in May when our electricity was cut off due to us missing a payment by a single day. We were unable to pay our entire bill so we were off for about a month and a week. Well, I have somehow been able to make it to the third year. I think this is the part where I’m supposed to feel like, accomplished and “together”. I don’t really feel like either, but I still felt like a little post was necessary and fun. How do you sum of three years? 1096 days?, some better than others. You do it in list form, of course. It is so weird to think at this time tomorrow, I will be in Chicago. I have less than seven hours to finish doing everything before I leave on the train at 5am. Hi everyone! I have been meaning to make this post for like, weeks now. I’m going to make it now and people are going to be like “But Amber, you’re like, a really slow reader, how are you supposed to read all those books by June 24th?”. Well, dear reader, we can all have dreams.  One thing that I like to do is make sure I’ve read at least one book by an author before taking an ARC, unless, of course, they’re a debut author. It’s no lie that I spent much of last year being, well, absent from my blog. A lot of things just kept coming up, I got a job and I just couldn’t balance both of them. I meant to post a lot of times, but by the time I got around to needing my post to be up (around midnight), I’d be too tired to finish it. I meant to do monthly recaps and a yearly review, but knowing how much time I spend on those, I just couldn’t. It was too daunting to even try. I’ve wanted to post reviews, but with my already being a procrastinator, nothing in my life made it easy to do that.
