Fifteen YA Romances I Want To Read In 2020

Posted February 4, 2020 by Amber in Bookish Lists / 0 Comments

I am doing a romance series of posts for the next two weeks because why not? Today I’m talking about thirteen Young Adult romances that sound really intriguing to me. A few of these are repeats from my two Anticipated Book Lists but that was inevitable.

~One~

Every Other Weekend by Abigail Johnson

The Reason Why

Teens bonding over their family issues. I’m very much into that.

~Two~

Yes No Maybe So by Becky Albertalli & Aisha Saeed

The Reason Why

First of all, that plot sounds amazing and it’s so well needed given the election year. Secondly, the authors!

~Three~

Together We Caught Fire by Eva V. Gibson

The Reason Why

I love a story dealing with hard issues.

Divider

~Four~

The Gravity Of Us by Phil Stamper

The Reason Why

Space, first love, I couldn’t ask for more. I’m already reading it today and it’s amazing.

~Five~

If You Only Knew by Prerna Pickett

The Reason Why

We don’t read about many teens being released from jail. I’m waiting for the secrets to come pouring out.

Divider

~Six~

Four Days of You and Me by Miranda Kenneally

The Reason Why

I’ve never read a Miranda Kenneally book but it is on my TBR. I love books that take place over a day so having this done four times is going to be amazing. I can’t wait.

~Seven~

Tweet Cute by Emma Lord

The Reason Why

It was inspired by real life Twitter encounters and it’s essentially the answer to YA You’ve Got Mail. I love it.

Divider

~Eight~

The Henna Wars by Adiba Jaigirdar

The Reason Why

Okay, so I have this as an eARC and I need to get to it like, ASAP. We have rivals again and not just any rivals but henna tattoo rivals. What even? This hasn’t been done before! Plus the cover is gorgeous. ??

~Nine~

The Lucky Ones by Liz Lawson

The Lucky Ones by Liz Lawson

The Reason Why

Show me two broken people in need of someone and I’ll show you my wallet.

Divider

~Ten~

10 Things I Hate About Pinky by Sandhya Menon

The Reason Why

I finally read all of Sandhya Menon’s books last year and I’ve been anxiously anticipating Pinky’s story. She is my fave and I cannot wait for this 10 Things I Hate About You inspired book. ??

~Eleven~

This Train is Being Held by Ismee Williams

The Reason Why

I love a public transit romance!

Divider

~Twelve~

Verona Comics by Jennifer Dugan

The Reason Why

They work at a comic book store! Jennifer Dugan gives her characters the most interesting jobs.

Divider

~Thirteen~

Today, Tonight, Tomorrow by Rachel Lynn Solomon

The Reason Why

I seriously love the summaries for Rachel’s books. They sound so good.  Today Tonight Tomorrow takes place over 24 hours and that is my one true love trope.

Divider

~Fourteen~

Recommended For You by Laura Silverman

The Reason Why

This right here? The book of my dreams. Please, please be at ALA.

The characters work in a book store AND there’s a competition for who sells the most books and it sounds seriously amazing. I love the rivalship.

~Fifteen~

More Than Maybe by Erin Hahn

The Reason Why

I love books revolving around music and this one is no different.

What makes you pick up a romance? Have you read any of these before? Let me know in the comments.
