Hey guys. 🙂 This is my first post for the meme “Waiting On Wednesday” created by Breaking The Spine. You can read about it more here. I have a couple books that I’m waiting on to read.

The first one is a prose novel called Falling Into Place by Amy Zhang. It comes out September 9th, 2014.

The second novel I am excited to read is told in free-verse and called Kiss of Broken Glass. It also comes out September 9th, 2014.

Falling Into Place sounds interesting to me because it is told by someone that readers don’t suspect to narrate the story. As for Kiss of Broken Glass, I like poetry and I have never read a completed verse novel so I want to read this one.

 

Both of these Young Adult novels deal with darker themes such as suicide, self-harm and psychiatric hospitals. I am excited to read both of these stories because teen suicide and self harm are important issues in today’s society. 

 

I encourage anyone who is interested in Young Adult novels that deal with issues to pick these up or at least check them out on Goodreads. 🙂
