More Than This Provincial Life is a feature where I’ll talk about anything non-bookish or blogging related. This will include but not be limited to TV shows, movies, anime, music and occasionally my life. This will generally be a feature posted for Friday. You can read other MTTPL posts here.
Hi all! I hope everyone is having a good weekend! I am usually pretty good at watching the few shows I actually watch. This becomes a struggle when you suddenly don’t have internet anymore and all the shows are coming out! And, you know, you’re trying to save that $8/a month a company charges. . .
I wanted to talk about the five shows that I am so very tragically behind on and need to watch as soon as possible.

I’ve loved The Bold Type since the first episode. The second season I liked a bit less but still enjoyed a lot. Minus how grating I found Jane at times but it was nothing unbearable. Especially not with Sutton (my love) and Kat (my other love). I need them in my television life! I miss them. A lot. I have not been able to watch the third season at all! I’m so upset because it is the most ultimate fun, comfort show ever.

I just want to say how much I love that promo poster. ??? It is perfect. There was so much I loved in Shrill. The insecurity, the friendship, the fat girl actually having fun in a swimsuit.
I’m wondering if I should do a rewatch and post on it. . .
I recently finished the book Shrill is based on. It adds a new level and appreciation that I have for the show. I hope season two does delves into some of the things in the book. Either way, a fat main character who is funny? I am missing Annie a lot. Like so much.

Ugh, I wish we had just been given a new season of The Fosters. I miss Lena and Stef so much and the whole family dynamic.
So, I did not even finish the first season of Good Trouble. For some reason, I just couldn’t get past Re-Birthday. I just found a certain character really annoying which I hated because they’re Fat Rep. But they annoyed me so I’m sad.
I tried to watch it three times. They were all failed attempts. I am so into Mariana trying to gain influence in her super egotistical, male-driven work environment. I’m into Callie’s plot as well but I could of do with a little less of her? At least that was how I felt back then.
When Will I Go Back To It? Not for a while

Honestly, I don’t know if I want to even go back to this. I spent around a year and half watching and live-tweeting this show and I liked it when I caught up finally. I don’t know now though, especially not given their choices. I always say “I’m not watching because *insert character of the season* is gone” and I always do but now? It’s all pins and needles, I have no idea!
When Will I Go Back To It? I honestly don’t know because this character departure deserved more from tweets I’ve seen.

Ah, Fuller House. This is the one show I can actually watch because I download it from Netflix, so I’m not super behind. Thank you, Netflix. Can Hulu follow suit because it would make my life. Yes, I’m aware that’s a little sad. It is what it is. Give me my small pleasures. Next to The Bold Type, this is my other feel-good show I love to watch five minutes of here and there.
Okay, so I have a little bit of an attention-span issue. I’ll admit it.
When Will I Go Back to It? I’m only around four episodes behind right now so maybe next week?
