It has been a very long and hard month for me. Mostly due to home circumstances.
Some of the highlights though?:
Seeing Three Days Grace for the third time. <3 I went with a friend from college, her boyfriend and then their friend. I however, didn’t know it wasn’t just going to be us two until two hours before she got to my house. Ha. So a little headsup would have been nice, but it’s whatever. The concert was super good. Even with the new lead singer (</3). I was less than five feet from the barricade and then only two feet away towards the end of the concert. So that was really fun.
Going to the Friends of The Library book sale on the 18th. <3 It was a bit complicated getting home, ha, which took away from the bit of the fun, but overall I had a nice time looking at all the books. 🙂 Oh and I was also over-charged, the same thing happened last year. 🙁 But I still didn’t pay too much…I guess.
All the new music that came out! I’ll be talking about this down below but oh my gosh, it has been such a great music month.
I received my first unsolicited ARC (ever) from St. Martin’s Press! It was. . .
I had taken a picture of it after receiving it, but haha, I didn’t notice until after I uploaded it that I hadn’t shown the title. Lol. It’s so pretty. It’s so, so pretty. Hopefully it’s good and I like it.

I finished Romancing The Dark In The City of Light, finally. That one took a while since I kept putting it off. I liked t though. I had a super good book month! Okay, so I only technically read four books and finished Romancing, but still! I really liked them all. My favorite? My favorite. . . *drum roll*
The non-fiction, memoir-esque, essay ridden book by Sara Bareilles! No, I’m not biased at ALL. JUST because I love her doesn’t mean that I was biased in my decision for picking this as my favorite book.

After The Woods is for a giveaway, but I think I’m going to read it beforehand to review, then give it away. 🙂
Thank you Farrar, Straus and Giroux and St. Martin’s Press<3
It was a month of cover albums, none of which I listened to, all of which, I need to. 🙂
Ryan Adams put his spin on Taylor Swift’s 1989. How great is that cover? It’s gorgeous. Okay, this is probably the only way I’ll ever hear Taylor Swift’s album without actually hearing her voice or buying it.
There was Bleachers’ album, Strange Desires, retitled Terrible Thrills vol. 2 featuring amazing female singers on all their songs. IT’S AMAZING. IT HAS SIA AND CARLY RAE JEPSEN AND TINASHE AND SARA BAREILLES AND CHARLI XCX AND ELLE KING AND JUST GO LISTEN TO IT. GO. IT’S ON SPOTIFY. RUN. It’s also available for FREE on Google Play if you are in the U.S. You will have to have a google account and some type of card to put on the account (I used a debit card). Oh gosh, that totally sound all infomercially, didn’t it? I didn’t mean to! Just listen to the album.
Natasha Khan of Bat For Lashes and the band Toy came together for an eclectic collection of songs from various countries.
Now for what I DID listen to. Here’s my Spotify playlist for September.

~Albums I Wish I Listened To A Bit More~
Low Ones and Zeroes (I streamed this when it was up on NPR the week of it’s release and was pretty into it, I bought it the day after it came out and never managed to listen to it really. :()
Stereophonics- I was crazy about this album, at least, the idea of the album. I love Stereophonics so I had to buy this album the day after it’s released (along with Low’s), but then I got caught up with a-ha’s album and…yeah. 😉
~Discovered Music~
Their album comes out on the 9th of this month and I’m so sad it will only be available in the UK for right now. 🙁 I love this song. I also found these songs:
I finally clicked with Hallelujah by Panic! At The Disco. This amazingness by Panic! At The Disco came out as well. Finally, Panic! dropped Victorious, which I like. A lot. I’ll take that album now, Brendon. Just give me the album already! #IHateWaiting There IS going to be an album eventually, isn’t there? Sigh.
Sailor Moon Crystal is getting a third season! YAY! Some day I’ll catch up on that show.
~My Addictions~

The first four I bought from Target so they’re deluxe editions. <3 I had to buy Hilary’s album again for the two deluxe tracks (that I’ve already heard and loved a long time ago).

Keep The Village Alive and Every Eye Open are the deluxe/special editions.
Pre-Ordered:
Songs:
She Used To Be Mine by Sara Bareilles

~What I’ve Been Watching~
I’ve been mostly just watching Friday Night Lights. I finally made it to the last season, so yayyy for that. I also found my DVD cord, well, my mom found it, so now I can resume watching Degrassi and Boy Meets World. Yay! I mean, I only really need the DVD cord for the first and fifth season of Degrassi and BMW, but you know, whatever. I’m glad to have it back!
So. . .As you can see, I have been music and book buying obsessed and just a little, tiny, kind of book reading obsessed (ha. . .) as well… It’s an addiction. Tell me how your month went, what happened, any new music you found, what you’re watching on tv, what you’re looking forward to this month, let me know. 🙂
