Waiting On Wednesday (#2) (8/9/14, Late)

Hey everyone. It’s a few days late but here is my post for this week’s “Waiting On” Wednesday meme. Once again, this meme is created and hosted by Breaking The Spine. WoW is a weekly meme to talk about upcoming releases.

I have just discovered quite a few books I’m interested in reading, isn’t that how it always goes though? 😉

I’m going to show off two books this week though.

The first is Starry Night by Isabel Gillies which is released September 2nd, 2014.

One of the things that attracts me to Starry Night is the title, which is my favorite painting. I like that the story takes place at a museum, involves a strange wind and happens to be a romance.

A Little Something Different by Sandy Hall which is released August 26th, 2014.

 

Goodreads Summary:

The creative writing teacher, the delivery guy, the local Starbucks baristas, his best friend, her roommate, and the squirrel in the park all have one thing in common—they believe that Gabe and Lea should get together. Lea and Gabe are in the same creative writing class. They get the same pop culture references, order the same Chinese food, and hang out in the same places. Unfortunately, Lea is reserved, Gabe has issues, and despite their initial mutual crush, it looks like they are never going to work things out.  But somehow even when nothing is going on, something is happening between them, and everyone can see it. Their creative writing teacher pushes them together. The baristas at Starbucks watch their relationship like a TV show. Their bus driver tells his wife about them. The waitress at the diner automatically seats them together. Even the squirrel who lives on the college green believes in their relationship.

 

Surely Gabe and Lea will figure out that they are meant to be together….

 

Any book that mentions writing or Starbucks is sure to get a second glance from me. 🙂 Normally, I wouldn’t be interested in a book where two characters are so oblivious that they belong together while everyone else on the planet knows it. However, A Little Something Different seems like it may actually be different from other romance YA books.
