Well this was bound to happen.
Hi all. I know, I magically appear again in January and then post pretty decently then March happens and… everything blows up. 😂 I just wanted to write a quick post I’ve been meaning to do.
I’ll be on a temporary hiatus, it will hopefully just be a week or two because I do have a blog tour coming up. I’m really stressed over a lot of things right now but the newest one is COVID19. I have asthma, diabetes 2 and have been having some probably-not-serious heart issues, the latter of which is probably due to the stress. I’m not sleeping real well right now, I can only blog at work.
Yes, we’re still working here in Kansas. It’s kind of ironic seeing this all play out given I’m a temp at KDHE (Kansas Department of Health and Environment) so like, it’s interesting. We have around 15 cases in the state? I should really know this by now. We fortunately don’t have any in the county…yet? Which makes me a feel a little better and also worse because it could just be a matter of when and not if.
It’s fine though, right? It’s (really not) fine and I’m (probably not) fine.
I know other people are not fine though and I’m really sorry about it all.
It’s really hard seeing people being able to stay home or work from home meanwhile I’m still working. I get it though, we don’t have as many cases as other states and none of them are in the county. Staying home for two weeks would be torture as well so it’s like a lose-lose situation.
So, I’m trying not to freak out too much and it’s not doing too well. Blogging right now would be a good distraction, but our internet is off and will hopefully be back on next week. Maybe when that happens I will be wanting to post more. Until then though, It’s hiatus time.
I hope everyone is staying safe and staying home if you can. If you have to work like me, I hope you take precautions. This is hard for me because I take public transit, which has been way emptier than usual and sit next to an employee All. Day. It’s stressful. I feel a sort of panic sickness a bit.
Anyway, let’s stay safe. Wash your hands, stay home if you can, clean your doorknobs and light switches and SINK FAUCETS, don’t hoard the toilet paper or soap, assuming you can even still find any (we did not), socialize online, try to FaceTime people if you can and you need that FaceTime communication, do not do not do not stress about being “productive” if you’re dealing with kids or feel like you “should be” doing something. Just take care of yourself.
